N'ihe banyere transcribe.free

transcribe.free does one thing: it turns audio and video into accurate, editable text — and it does it without the account walls, watermarks, and email gates that every other transcription tool puts between you and your transcript.

Why we built it

Try to transcribe a single voice memo online and you'll hit the same pattern everywhere: upload, wait, then "create an account to view your transcript" — or a watermark, or a three-import lifetime limit. The AI doing the work has become cheap; the gates stayed. We run our own GPU servers for a family of speech and language products, which means transcribing a 30-minute file costs us almost nothing. So the free tier here is real: 3 files a day with no sign-up at all, full TXT, SRT, and VTT exports, and your file deleted 24 hours later.

How it works

Your file is processed by a Whisper-class large speech model running on our own GPU cluster — the same model family behind professional transcription services, covering 90+ languages with automatic detection. Transcripts open in a built-in editor with timestamps, search, and click-to-fix segments, then export in one click.

What pays for it

Long files. The free tier caps each file at 30 minutes (1 hour with a free account); if you transcribe lectures, podcasts, or full meetings, Pro is $10/month — or $60/year — for fair-use unlimited transcription of files up to 10 hours, with speaker labels and priority processing. One-time credit packs from $5 cover occasional projects and never expire. No ads, no selling data — the paid tiers are the entire business model.

Privacy stance

Anonymous uploads and their transcripts are automatically deleted after 24 hours. We never use your audio to train models, and your files are never shared with third parties. See the privacy policy for the full details.
