1 credit = 1 minute of audio, rounded up per file. A 90-minute interview costs 90 credits. Packs never expire: $5 buys 600 minutes (10 hours), $15 buys 2,400 minutes (40 hours), $39 buys 9,000 minutes (150 hours).

What does Pro include?

Fair-use unlimited transcription (100 hours/month soft cap), files up to 10 hours and 5 GB, priority queue, speaker labels (diarization), and all export formats including DOCX and PDF. $10/month, or $60/year (equivalent to $5/month).

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — cancel from your account page in two clicks and you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Credit packs are one-time purchases with nothing to cancel, and they never expire.

What does the free tier include, exactly?

Without an account: 3 files a day per visitor, up to 30 minutes and 100 MB each, with full TXT/SRT/VTT exports, no watermark and no email gate. A free account raises that to 5 files a day at up to 1 hour and 500 MB each, saves your transcripts in a library, and unlocks DOCX/PDF exports.

How do credits work?

1 credit = 1 minute of audio, rounded up per file — a 47-minute recording costs 47 credits. Credits are only deducted when transcription actually starts; failed jobs are never charged. Packs never expire: $5 → 600 minutes (10 h), $15 → 2,400 minutes (40 h), $39 → 9,000 minutes (150 h). That's as low as $0.0043/minute — Rev charges $0.25/minute for the same AI transcription.

What does "fair-use unlimited" mean on Pro?

Transcribe as much as you normally need — we don't meter Pro usage per file. The soft cap is 100 hours per month, which no individual user hits in normal use; it exists to stop resellers running bulk pipelines through a $10 account. If you genuinely need more than 100 h/month, contact us.

Pro Monthly vs Pro Annual vs a pack — which should I pick?

Regular transcribing (weekly meetings, a podcast): Pro Annual at $60/year is the best value — half of TurboScribe's annual price. Occasional bursts (one interview project, a semester of lectures): a pack, since it never expires. One month of heavy use: Pro Monthly at $10 and cancel after.

Can I get Pro for my team?

Yes. Set the number of people on the Pro card before you check out. The second person costs the same as yours, and from 3 people every extra person is 15% off ($8.50 a month each, or $51 a year on the annual plan), up to 25 people. After paying, invite them by email from your account page. Each person signs in with their own account, gets Pro and keeps their own private transcript library: nobody on the team can see anyone else's files. Team seats are paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Cancel Pro anytime from your account page — you keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing renews after. Packs are one-time purchases. If something went wrong with a charge, our refund policy covers you for 30 days.

Do you offer a developer API?

Yes. POST a file to /api/v1/transcribe/ with your account's Bearer token and poll for the transcript as JSON, TXT, SRT or VTT. Whisper large-v3, 100 languages, speaker labels, files up to 10 hours. It bills exactly like the web app (1 credit per minute), so a $5 pack or Pro covers API use with no separate plan and no per-request fee. Full endpoint reference and code samples are in the API docs.
